Mon-o-Rail 4.0.0 / August 2026
Your Train
grew a brain.
Real switches and signalling. Manual driving. Momentum, gravity and grade. Version 4 turns Mon-o-Rail from a line between stops into a network you can design, automate and actually drive (and derail!)
Your save should carry forward. Automation needs a quick rewrite.
Back up important worlds first. Numeric station indices are gone in v4: give every stop a name, point your programs at that exact name, and your railway is back in business.
- Name every stop with a LabellerGive each station and dock a clear, ideally unique Labeller name.
- Replace numeric IC10 targetsUse
HASH("Exact Station Name")anywhere a program selects a destination. - Check power availabilityTrains now might consume more or less power than in previous versions, based on various factors such as gravity and track topology.
- If you don't use the logic stack, that's it!You can keep reading of course, but a quick code change and labeller run will get you back up and running.
- Update LogicStack timetables, if anyStation destinations and named waits now use their two-slot hash instructions.
- Update LogicStack readsLive outputs now occupy slots 54-62, with the read-only program counter in slot 63.
- Review train Mode writesMode is now 0 shortest, 1 force front, 2 force rear, 3 prefer front, or 4 least switch changes.
